Fortune Teller is the third studio album by Maltese recording artist Ira Losco. She began working on the album in summer 2007 and on 9 May 2008, announced its release date at a press conference was made by Losco. Fortune Teller was produced by Losco and Howard Keith at Jagged House. Fortune Teller manifests a more mature Losco. Throughout the lyrics, it is more political and deep than her previous albums. The album was written with live performances in mind and is danceable and pumping. Скачать Edward - Fortune Teller. Также послушайте: Kettenkarussell & Ateq & Edward & . i think a few of the tracks on this record could have been cut for a better, and more cohesive end result. nevertheless, this is mostly a collection of some seriously hypnotic, mind bending tunes that draw you in and keep you there. prolly edward's best work so far. i really love it
'Stryfe' and 'That Track' go down in the all time giegling favourites
Edward rises to all time highs with this 3LP release. Playing it non-stop since it arrived by mail. Theres a vibe, balance and originality that - to be fair - was a bit missing in his previous releases. This one is an absolute classic though and even stands its own in the already impressive Giegling hall of fame.
My copy of the album contained two A/B vinyl, one E/F, but no C/D. Anyone with a similar issue?
Yes! I reached out to the record store and they claimed it was an issue with all their copies. Returned my copy. Super bummer.
The previous Edward releases were okay but lacked a certain something, as if the artist were afraid to break through and let loose. He's done it with "Fortune Teller", an euphoric odyssey that should be heard in one sitting. Things start with the manic, tech-house stylings of "Let's Go 2", which seems to both satirize and embrace techno's current struggle (or call it paradigm shift) to break through its own 4/4 shackles ("Set U Free (Private Mix)" achieves a similar effect). The album gets murkier with the subterranean "Stryfe", all dislocated pads and polyrhythmic vibes. "Cicada", one of the album's highlights, is as abrasive and ephemeral as the titular insect, the background and foreground tracks gently wrestling for spotlight. Things proceed into a beautiful darkness with the gorgeous "Rencon", reminiscent of a memory trapped within a memory. The grand finale, the sublime "That Track", brings to mind "Boards of Canada" with its nostalgic, mournful tune and insistent, hip-hop beat suffused with "Four Tet"-like drums and jungle sounds. A challenging, lengthy, but highly rewarding listen, as well as a stunning experimentation with the boundaries of house and techno, "Fortune Teller" establishes Edward in the pantheon of the greats. Like reading a great science fiction book about the apocalypse, it entrances you and makes you want to revisit it to catch every nuance and to embrace the magnetic dread. This album will be difficult to beat in 2018, and not just for electronic music.
Album of the year for me.... so far, I've only got to side D. Edward understands that sometimes the most compelling moments come from pregnant tension rather than 4-on-the-floor bangers. This LP will take you on a journey... maybe a white water rafting excursion. Jump in and start paddling!
"That Track" gets even better with every listen. A real beauty of a track
I really enjoyed the album for how strange/experimental the sound is at points; the atmosphere of the album is pretty accurately portrayed by the cover. Overall a solid album from Edward.
That wet cellar's smell of the sleeve is becoming Giegling's trademark. Not sure intentionally
Good not great. I far prefer the first album of Edward's. I do however like the cover; it has a very natural feel to the untreated cardboard.
