Lookin' Out My Back Door is a song recorded by the American band Creedence Clearwater Revival. Written by the band's lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter, John Fogerty, it is included on their 1970 album Cosmo's Factory this was the group's fifth album, and was also their fifth and final number-two Billboard hit, held off the top by Diana Ross's version of Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Текст песни: Just got home from Illinois, Lock the front door, oh, boy Got to sit down, Take a rest on the Clearwater Revival - Lookin' For A Reason. Creedence Clearwater Revisited - Looking Out My Backdoor. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Commotion. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Molina. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bootleg. Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch. Imagination sets in, pretty soon I'm singing, CHORUS: Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door. There's a giant doing cartwheels, A statue wearing high heels. Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn. Creedence Clearwater Revival. John Fogertys ode to a situation many often find themselves in having a circus appear in your backyard. Fogerty has admitted that he and the band largely eschewed drugsCreedence Clearwater Revival. Fogerty has admitted that he and the band largely eschewed drugs. Its unfortunate that songs written in the 60s through the early to mid 70s always seem to get labeled as being drug influenced if the lyrics are a little bit creative. For the song Looking out my Backdoor John has said he wrote it with his 3 yrs old son in mind. I think for the most part we should give him the benefit of the doubt. I say this because CCR was probably one of the least drug influenced bands of that time. by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Tuning: E A D G B E. Backing Track. Creedence Clearwater Revival often referred to as Creedence or CCR was an American rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s which consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. The album cover shows Creedence Clearwater Revival's rehearsal space, which is not their original digs: they started rehearsing in a shed in the backyard of their drummer Doug Clifford's house. Clifford once said it was better than working in a factory, so their rehearsal rooms became known as The Factory. He's seen holding the instrument on the cover of the 1969 album Green River, but Lookin' Out My Back Door is the only time he played it on a Creedence song. In 1993, he bought a dobro at a vintage guitar show and set out to master the instrument, playing it for hours on end and using it on his 1997 solo album Blue Moon Swamp.
